Injectable wrinkle treatments are performed in the office generally with no "downtime" allowing immediate return to normal activity. The treatment needs to be custom designed for your face, skin type, and overall goals. Dr. McCafferty will recommend one or perhaps a combination of injectable wrinkle treatments after your evaluation.
Botox®: Botox® is a completely safe, FDA approved, medication that smoothes lines and unwanted wrinkles around the eyes, eyebrows, forehead, and mouth. Our injection technique will give you a natural, refreshed, less tired, angry look while not interfering with your normal animation. Treatment takes only a few minutes to complete, causes little discomfort, and no recovery time is necessary. Results begin to be visible within a few days and typically last 3-4 months.
Dysport: Prescription Dysport is an FDA approved injection used to temporarily improve the look of your moderate to severe frown lines without changing the look of your whole face. The untreated facial muscles still work normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas. Treatment takes only a few minutes and causes little discomfort. Results are visible within a few days and typically last 3-4 months.
Xeomin: Xeomin is a prescription medication used to temorarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows in adults.
Injectable Fillers: Voluma, Vollure, Volbella, Juvederm Ultra, Juvederm Ultra Plus, Restylane, Restylane Lyft, Restylane Refyne, Restylane Defyne, Radiesse, Sculptra, and Belatero Balance are FDA-approved fillers to manage wrinkles, fine lines, contour irregularities, and volume depletion of the face, cheek folds, and lips. The procedure is quick to perform and results are immediate.
Fat Injection: Your own body fat can be a good source for filling wrinkles, folds, and depressions, of the face or any area on the body. Frequently, fat is used to plump the cheek fold and lips. Fat injection (autologous fat transplantation) removes fat cells from one part of the body such as the abdomen, buttocks, or thighs and places it in areas of need with very small and specialized cannulas. This is a very natural, non-allergenic office procedure with very little or no downtime. Fat injections are not permanent, with longevity varying significantly from patient to patient. However, the fat injected has the potential to last much longer than other products. Fat injection can be an attractive and cost effective alternative if combined with other procedures such as liposuction.
Kybella is the first and only FDA-approved non-surgical treatment that contours and improves the appearance of submental fullness. Sometimes referred to as “double chin,” it is a common yet undertreated facial aesthetic condition that can impact a broad range of adults, including both women and men. Submental fullness may occur due to aging, genetics, or weight gain.
Sublative Radio Frequency (RF) enables you to achieve a more youthful appearance. The RF energy is precisely directed into the skin in the form of a matrix. Healthy skin around the treated area accelerates the healing process of the skin. Post-treatment, new collagen and healthy skin cells are produced. Mild to moderate wrinkles and superficial imperfections of your skin are reduced. It can also improve textural irregularities from acne scaring.
Typical treatment protocol is three treatments, four to six weeks apart. The total number of required treatment sessions depends on your skin’s condition. Sublative RF can be used on the face, neck, and chest area.
CoolSculpting is a FDA cleared non-invasive procedure that uses cooling technology to noticeably eliminate fat without surgery. Dr. McCafferty will determine if you are a good candidate and work with you to determine the best treatment plan during a one-on-one consultation.
CoolSculpting works best on those who are within 20 pounds of their target weight and enjoy an active lifestyle. It is not a silver bullet for obesity, or a substitute for surgical methods such as liposuction; it's a solution for reclaiming the slimmer version of yourself when diet and exercise aren't enough.
Using a technology developed by Harvard scientists, CoolSculpting targets and freezes fat cells causing their natural death in the treatment area. It's completely non-invasive so there is no cutting, no needles and no anesthesia. Patients typically read, work on their laptops, listen to music or relax during the procedure
